Met de Dual DJ kunnen beide DJ's onafhankelijk van elkaar de decks voorbeluisteren. Eén DJ gebruikt gewoon de mixer, de andere DJ gebruikt de Dual DJ. De decks worden aangesloten op de Dual DJ, die op zijn beurt weer wordt aangesloten op de mixer. De DJ die met de Dual DJ werkt kan elke inkomende bron voorbeluisteren en daarbij het volume aanpassen, terwijl de andere DJ zijn ding doet op de mixer en daarbij niet gestoord wordt.

A very simple connection, facilitated by labelled cables, allows both dj's to hear multiple sources at once, so both can cue any deck at any point in a set, without disturbing each other. The unit itself connects to each of your decks and then the dj mixer with no interference in the signal.

It has a headphone output, so you can hear the inputs and each input channel has it's own level control, so you can pick and choose what you hear through the headphones thus allowing straightforward monitoring of all your signals, decks or audio sources. One dj uses the dj mixer's monitoring system as normal and the other uses the q2 to prepare their mix. Not only are dj partners and teams chasing the q2 dual dj, dj schools and tutors are utilising it's features to help teach new djs how to mix in a natural and unhindered manner.
