This Dizengoff Audio D864 Gray is not just a compressor. Vari-mu compressors are known for their warm, rich sound and their musical compression. This means that you can give the signal more gain reduction without the sound being badly affected. The 50% nickel inputs and outputs provide detailed and linear sound. The rotary controls on this compressor are: input gain, threshold, ratio, attack and release. You can also bypass the compression. There are also two new, very special functions on this device: growl and glow. Growl is a kind of parallel compression that will give an aggressive and dirty edge to the sound. Glow brings the mids more upfront and provides some more 'glue' compression. The way the transformer saturates the sound will cause a vocal or snare to cut through the mix. Also, this Dizengoff Audio D864 Gray is equipped with a 2.55 inch VU meter.
