Product Information Sonicsmith Squaver P1+
This Sonicsmith Squaver P1+ is based on an ACO chip that can decompose the incoming audio signal in pitch and volume envelope. This synthesizer then uses this information to control the oscillator. This is a sawtooth / square waveform oscillator with PWM (pulse-width modulation). It'll also generate a sub layer with volume control. It only needs a 9V battery or standard 9V power supply to work. In addition to the main audio input (also for unamplified signals thanks to 40 dB amplification circuit), you'll have a sidechain input which can modulate the envelope. What makes this module unique is the filter section with low, high and bandpass filters with 12 or 24 dB slopes. The VCA also has a ring modulation input.
In conclusion: this Sonicsmith Squaver P1+ has numerous options. Not only as a stand-alone synthesizer, but is certainly powerful in combination with other modular modules or synthesizers!
