Roland DJ-808

The Roland DJ-808 is a unique MIDI controller for Serato DJ mixer with stand and built-in TR-S synthesizer. The DJ-808 features a classic DJ layout with four-channel mixer, high performance pads at the bottom of the controller and obviously two low-latency-sensitive jog wheels. On the top of the controller there is a unique feature: the DJ controller is actually equipped with a real TR-8 drum machine (the modern remake of the TR-808 and TR-909 synthesizers). At the top of the unit steps can be positioned while the built-in drum machine plays in sync with your DJ set from Serato DJ. When the Roland DJ-808 it used as a standalone hardware mixer the TR-S can also still be used. Simply select the Tap Tempo button and the right pace and place steps! In addition to a TR-8 the DJ-808 also features a built-in Roland VT-3. This voice transformer can be used to manipulate the sound from an incoming microphone signal in a unique way. The built-in VT-3 of course also works on the hardware mixer.
